Mental Health - IMPACT Planning Council

School and Community Partnership for Mental Health (SCPMH)

Facilitation of the School Community Partnership for Mental Health (SCPMH) – IMPACT Planning & Evaluation is currently assisting SCPMH to plan and evaluate this pilot collaboration which aims to increase access to mental health services for students in MPS. The Project Leadership Team includes MPS district leaders; provider agencies; HMOs; academic evaluators; the American Academy of Pediatrics WI; City, County, and State public health officials; and parent representatives. The long-term goal of SCPMH is to create a new system of care for youth with emergent/unmet mental health needs by improving access, utilization, and quality of services and by catalyzing funding and policy changes. Milwaukee will be testing the model for statewide replication.
